Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Journal by Pillow (large set) by Hou Chun-Ming was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2010. The price achieved of HKD 200,000.00 (€ 20,777.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 160,000.00 – 240,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hou Chun-Ming - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work God Rod, which sold at auction in May 2008 for HKD 787,500.00 (€ 64,832.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Journal by Pillow (large set) von Hou Chun-Ming wurde im Mai 2010 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 200.000,00 (€ 20.777,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 160.000,00 – 240.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Hou Chun-Ming mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit God Rod beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für HKD 787.500,00 (€ 64.832,10) versteigert wurde.
