Auction result well in line with expectations

In June 2001 Christies in London held the auction JAPANESE ART AND DESIGN, which included the work A large composition depicting a party of men and women on a river-boat, signed Eishi ga, good impression, some fading of colour, good condition, framed and glazed by Hosoda Eishi. The price achieved of GBP 1,410.00 (€ 2,342.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Other works by Hosoda Eishi have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2007 the work Hosoda Eishi (1756-1829) was auctioned for USD 5,400.00 (€ 4,037.69).

Im Juni 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion JAPANESE ART AND DESIGN durch, in der auch die Arbeit A large composition depicting a party of men and women on a river-boat, signed Eishi ga, good impression, some fading of colour, good condition, framed and glazed von Hosoda Eishi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.410,00 (€ 2.342,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Hosoda Eishi konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2007 die Arbeit Hosoda Eishi (1756-1829) für USD 5.400,00 (€ 4.037,69) versteigert.
