Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Three Ladies on a Veranda by Hosoda Eishi was sold in the From Artist to Woodblock: Japanese Prints Online auction at Christies in London in June 2017. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,565.87). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hosoda Eishi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hosoda Eishi (1756-1829), which sold at auction in March 2007 for USD 5,400.00 (€ 4,037.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Three Ladies on a Veranda von Hosoda Eishi wurde im Juni 2017 in der Auktion From Artist to Woodblock: Japanese Prints Online bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.565,87) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Hosoda Eishi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hosoda Eishi (1756-1829) beobachtet, die im März 2007 für USD 5.400,00 (€ 4.037,69) versteigert wurde.
