Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Unknown by Hosoda Eishi was sold in the Japanese Art & Design auction at Christies in London in May 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,125.00 (€ 3,573.45) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Hosoda Eishi have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2007 the work Hosoda Eishi (1756-1829) was auctioned for USD 5,400.00 (€ 4,037.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Unknown von Hosoda Eishi wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion Japanese Art & Design bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.125,00 (€ 3.573,45) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Hosoda Eishi konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2007 die Arbeit Hosoda Eishi (1756-1829) für USD 5.400,00 (€ 4.037,69) versteigert.
