Portraits of the courtesans Hanaôgi of the Ôgiya and Kisegawa of the Matsubaya, and of Wakoku of the Echizenya and Kasugano of the Kadotamaya compared to the six poets, against a grey background. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,736.00 34% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hosoda Eishi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hosoda Eishi (1756-1829), which sold at auction in March 2007 for USD 5,400.00 (€ 4,037.69).

Die Arbeit Two ôban, from a triptych, or a three sheet series with the title Yûkun rokkasen von Hosoda Eishi wurde im Juni 2016 in der Auktion Asiatische Kunst - Highlights China, Tibet/Nepal bei Lempertz in Köln versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.736,00 und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Hosoda Eishi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hosoda Eishi (1756-1829) beobachtet, die im März 2007 für USD 5.400,00 (€ 4.037,69) versteigert wurde.
