Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work The Courtesan Shiratsuyu of the Wakanaya by Hosoda Eishi for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,423.52). This price was achieved in the auction From Artist to Woodblock: Japanese Prints Online at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,400.00 – 1,800.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hosoda Eishi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hosoda Eishi (1756-1829), which sold at auction in March 2007 for USD 5,400.00 (€ 4,037.69).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Courtesan Shiratsuyu of the Wakanaya von Hosoda Eishi für GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.423,52) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion From Artist to Woodblock: Japanese Prints Online bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.400,00 – 1.800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Hosoda Eishi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hosoda Eishi (1756-1829) beobachtet, die im März 2007 für USD 5.400,00 (€ 4.037,69) versteigert wurde.
