This artwork by Hong Hao achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in an online auction in April last year. In the Faces Places: Online Auction auction, the work The New Geological World sold for HKD 10,710.00 (€ 1,294.92) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hong Hao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Money Front in October 2007 with an auction result of HKD 727,500.00 (€ 64,865.57).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 79 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hong Hao erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Faces Places: Online Auction wurde die Arbeit The New Geological World für HKD 10.710,00 (€ 1.294,92) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hong Hao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Money Front im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 727.500,00 (€ 64.865,57).
