Auction result well in line with expectations
The work My Things About Circle No. 2 by Hong Hao was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 80,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 93,750.00 (€ 10,715.49) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Hong Hao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Money Front in October 2007 with an auction result of HKD 727,500.00 (€ 64,865.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit My Things About Circle No. 2 von Hong Hao kam im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 93.750,00 (€ 10.715,49) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hong Hao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Money Front im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 727.500,00 (€ 64.865,57).
