Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2017 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Mr. Hong Usually Wait Under The Arch For The Sunshine by Hong Hao. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,112.50) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hong Hao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Money Front in October 2007 with an auction result of HKD 727,500.00 (€ 64,865.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2017 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mr. Hong Usually Wait Under The Arch For The Sunshine von Hong Hao zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.250,00 (€ 1.112,50) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hong Hao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Money Front im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 727.500,00 (€ 64.865,57).
