Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Hong Hao could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art – Day Sale auction, the work Mr. Hong Usually Wait Under The Arch Roof For The Sunshine changed hands for HKD 18,750.00 (€ 2,063.66) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hong Hao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Money Front in October 2007 with an auction result of HKD 727,500.00 (€ 64,865.57).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hong Hao konnte im Oktober 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art – Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Mr. Hong Usually Wait Under The Arch Roof For The Sunshine für HKD 18.750,00 (€ 2.063,66) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hong Hao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Money Front im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 727.500,00 (€ 64.865,57).
