Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Bonhams in London held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Hisao Dōmoto. The price achieved of GBP 22,750.00 (€ 26,972.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hisao Dōmoto - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2016 for HKD 750,000.00 (€ 86,686.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Hisao Dōmoto zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 22.750,00 (€ 26.972,69) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Hisao Dōmoto mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für HKD 750.000,00 (€ 86.686,12) versteigert wurde.
