In October 2017 Phillips in New York held the auction The Odyssey of Collecting: Photographs from Joy of Giving Something Foundation, which included the work Tilly Tizzani with Blue Scarf by Hiro. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,512.02), 46% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Hiro have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Apollo - 11, 9:32 A. M. 7-16-69 Maiden Voyage To The Moon' in April last year with an auction result of USD 63,000.00 (€ 59,789.31).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 46 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2017 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion The Odyssey of Collecting: Photographs from Joy of Giving Something Foundation durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tilly Tizzani with Blue Scarf von Hiro zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.512,02) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hiro auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Apollo - 11, 9:32 A. M. 7-16-69 Maiden Voyage To The Moon' im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 63.000,00 (€ 59.789,31).
