The auction ended at the price of USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,536.73), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Herman Saftleven have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape With Travelers in January 2008 with an auction result of USD 265,000.00 (€ 178,559.40).

Die Arbeit The month June: A river landscape with sheep being washed and sheared von Herman Saftleven kam im Januar 2020 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.536,73) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Herman Saftleven auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape With Travelers im Januar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 265.000,00 (€ 178.559,40).
