Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Day Sale, which included the work A river port in a Rhenish landscape with figures loading boats, a tower beyond by Herman Saftleven. The price achieved of GBP 12,600.00 (€ 14,776.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Herman Saftleven achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape With Travelers in January 2008 with an auction result of USD 265,000.00 (€ 178,559.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A river port in a Rhenish landscape with figures loading boats, a tower beyond von Herman Saftleven zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.600,00 (€ 14.776,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Herman Saftleven erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape With Travelers im Januar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 265.000,00 (€ 178.559,40).
