The work Study of rivercraft by Herman Saftleven was auctioned at Bonhams in April this year. It achieved a price of GBP 1,657.50 (€ 1,889.01), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 38%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Herman Saftleven achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape With Travelers in January 2008 with an auction result of USD 265,000.00 (€ 178,559.40).

Die Arbeit Study of rivercraft von Herman Saftleven kam im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.657,50 (€ 1.889,01) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 38%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Herman Saftleven erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape With Travelers im Januar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 265.000,00 (€ 178.559,40).
