Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2004 Christies in New York held the auction 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART, which included the work Bartering by Henry Woods. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 31,070.00 (€ 24,376.27) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Henry Woods have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2007 the work A Country Studio was auctioned for GBP 26,400.00 (€ 39,176.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2004 führte Christies in New York die Auktion 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bartering von Henry Woods zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 31.070,00 (€ 24.376,27) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Henry Woods konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2007 die Arbeit A Country Studio für GBP 26.400,00 (€ 39.176,27) versteigert.
