Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Henry Woods could be acquired at Christies in London in August 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper auction, the work A country cottage in an extensive landscape changed hands for GBP 29.38 (€ 42.18) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Woods achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Country Studio in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 26,400.00 (€ 39,176.27).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Henry Woods konnte im August 2003 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper wechselte die Arbeit A country cottage in an extensive landscape für GBP 29,38 (€ 42,18) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Woods erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Country Studio im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 26.400,00 (€ 39.176,27).
