Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Henry Woods could be acquired at Christies in London in August 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper auction, the work A country cottage in an extensive landscape changed hands for GBP 29.38 (€ 42.18) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Woods achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Country Studio in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 26,400.00 (€ 39,176.27).
