Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2000 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Study for 'An advanced dressing Station in France' by Henry Tonks. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,070.00 (€ 3,442.50). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Tonks - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Study for 'An Advanced Dressing Station in France', which sold at auction in June 2018 for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,301.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study for 'An advanced dressing Station in France' von Henry Tonks zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.070,00 (€ 3.442,50) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry Tonks mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Study for 'An Advanced Dressing Station in France' beobachtet, die im Juni 2018 für GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.301,70) versteigert wurde.
