Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work In The Shade by Henry Tonks for GBP 960.00 (€ 1,410.36). This price was achieved in the auction TWENTIETH CENTURY BRITISH ART at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Henry Tonks have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Study for 'An Advanced Dressing Station in France' in June 2018 with an auction result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,301.70).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2005 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit In The Shade von Henry Tonks für GBP 960,00 (€ 1.410,36) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion TWENTIETH CENTURY BRITISH ART bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry Tonks auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Study for 'An Advanced Dressing Station in France' im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.301,70).
