Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Venetian gondola by Henry Scott Tuke was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in September this year. The price achieved of GBP 2,560.00 (€ 2,560.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Scott Tuke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Midsummer Morning in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 270,650.00 (€ 395,140.46).

Die Arbeit A Venetian gondola von Henry Scott Tuke kam im September diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.560,00 (€ 2.560,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Scott Tuke erzielen.
