Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Henry Scott Tuke achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2021. In the British and European Art auction, the work Black River Boatmen, Jamaica sold for GBP 37,500.00 (€ 44,729.63) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Henry Scott Tuke have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Midsummer Morning in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 270,650.00 (€ 395,140.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Henry Scott Tuke erzielte im Dezember 2021 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion British and European Art wurde die Arbeit Black River Boatmen, Jamaica für GBP 37.500,00 (€ 44.729,63) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry Scott Tuke auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Midsummer Morning im Februar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 270.650,00 (€ 395.140,46).
