Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A bather on the rocks by Henry Scott Tuke was auctioned at Christies in New York in July this year. The price achieved of GBP 23,940.00 (€ 27,930.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Scott Tuke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Midsummer Morning in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 270,650.00 (€ 395,140.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A bather on the rocks von Henry Scott Tuke kam im Juli diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 23.940,00 (€ 27.930,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henry Scott Tuke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Midsummer Morning im Februar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 270.650,00 (€ 395.140,46).
