This artwork by Henry Scott Tuke achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December last year. In the British and European Art: Online auction, the work Going Ashore for the Skipper sold for GBP 40,320.00 (€ 45,517.35) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Henry Scott Tuke have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Midsummer Morning in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 270,650.00 (€ 395,140.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Henry Scott Tuke erzielte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion British and European Art: Online wurde die Arbeit Going Ashore for the Skipper für GBP 40.320,00 (€ 45.517,35) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry Scott Tuke auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Midsummer Morning im Februar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 270.650,00 (€ 395.140,46).
