Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Roses, Grapes And Olives by Henry Roderick Newman for USD 40,000.00 (€ 35,599.86). This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Henry Roderick Newman have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2016 by the work Porta Dei Canonici, Duomo, Florence at USD 75,000.00 (€ 70,901.87).
