In the Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work Porta dei Canonici, Duomo, Florence sold for USD 80,500.00 (€ 59,837.95) - well above the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Henry Roderick Newman; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Porta Dei Canonici, Duomo, Florence sold at auction in November 2016 with the realized price of USD 75,000.00 (€ 70,901.87).
