Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Henry Roderick Newman could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Art auction, the work Roses, Grapes And Olives changed hands for USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,146.10) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Henry Roderick Newman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Porta Dei Canonici, Duomo, Florence in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 75,000.00 (€ 70,901.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Henry Roderick Newman konnte im März 2018 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Art wechselte die Arbeit Roses, Grapes And Olives für USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.146,10) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry Roderick Newman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Porta Dei Canonici, Duomo, Florence im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 75.000,00 (€ 70.901,87).
