The »bidding war« ended at USD 47,500.00 (€ 41,950.01), 58% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Henry Roderick Newman; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Porta Dei Canonici, Duomo, Florence sold at auction in November 2016 with the realized price of USD 75,000.00 (€ 70,901.87).

Die Arbeit Flowers In A Landscape von Henry Roderick Newman wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 41.950,01) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Henry Roderick Newman; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Porta Dei Canonici, Duomo, Florence im November 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 75.000,00 (€ 70.901,87).
