Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Aspiration of a Soul While Listening to Music by Henry John Stock was sold in the British & European Art auction at Christies in London in July 2020. It achieved a price of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,245.66), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. Admittedly, works by Henry John Stock have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Uplifting of Psyche 'By the help of a divinity not our own' - Virgil in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 79,311.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Aspiration of a Soul While Listening to Music von Henry John Stock wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion British & European Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 13.245,66) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry John Stock auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Uplifting of Psyche 'By the help of a divinity not our own' - Virgil im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 56.250,00 (€ 79.311,79).
