Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Henry John Stock could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The European Art Sale auction, the work Discovering Daisies changed hands for USD 4,410.00 (€ 3,817.52) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry John Stock achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Uplifting of Psyche 'By the help of a divinity not our own' - Virgil in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 79,311.79).
