Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Bonhams held the auction 19th Century and British Impressionist Art, which included the work Influences by Henry John Stock. The price achieved of GBP 25,500.00 (€ 29,011.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry John Stock - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Uplifting of Psyche 'By the help of a divinity not our own' - Virgil, which sold at auction in June 2015 for GBP 56,250.00 (€ 79,311.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion 19th Century and British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Influences von Henry John Stock zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.500,00 (€ 29.011,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry John Stock mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Uplifting of Psyche 'By the help of a divinity not our own' - Virgil beobachtet, die im Juni 2015 für GBP 56.250,00 (€ 79.311,79) versteigert wurde.
