Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A vision of the cross by Henry John Stock was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in London in March 2008. The price achieved of GBP 350.00 (€ 439.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry John Stock achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Uplifting of Psyche 'By the help of a divinity not our own' - Virgil in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 79,311.79).
