Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Henri Le Sidaner could be acquired at Christies in London in June last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale auction, the work La Place des buveurs d'eau, Aix-les-Bains changed hands for GBP 160,000.00 (€ 185,874.49) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Le Sidaner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Sérénade, Venise in November last year with an auction result of USD 2,100,000.00 (€ 2,034,292.36).

Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Le Sidaner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Sérénade, Venise im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.100.000,00 (€ 2.034.292,36).
