Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Cattle resting on the river bank by Hendrikus van de Sande Bakhuyzen was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2010. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 5,625.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendrikus van de Sande Bakhuyzen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sorting the catch on the beach of Scheveningen in April 2003 with an auction result of EUR 169,950.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Cattle resting on the river bank von Hendrikus van de Sande Bakhuyzen kam im September 2010 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 5.625,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hendrikus van de Sande Bakhuyzen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sorting the catch on the beach of Scheveningen im April 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 169.950,00.
