Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dutch a Herd With Cattle In A Mountainous Landscape by Hendrikus van de Sande Bakhuyzen was auctioned at Sothebys in Amsterdam in June 2011. The price achieved of EUR 5,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendrikus van de Sande Bakhuyzen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sorting the catch on the beach of Scheveningen in April 2003 with an auction result of EUR 169,950.00.

Die Arbeit Dutch a Herd With Cattle In A Mountainous Landscape von Hendrikus van de Sande Bakhuyzen kam im Juni 2011 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hendrikus van de Sande Bakhuyzen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sorting the catch on the beach of Scheveningen im April 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 169.950,00.
