This artwork by Hendrik Barend Koekkoek achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2010. In the Nineteen to Now,Art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries including Indonesian Art and Topographical Observations auction, the work Figures on a snowy path sold for EUR 3,750.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 2,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Hendrik Barend Koekkoek; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Woodgatherers in a hilly landscape sold at auction in October 2006 with the realized price of EUR 7,200.00.

In der Auktion Nineteen to Now,Art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries including Indonesian Art and Topographical Observations wurde die Arbeit Figures on a snowy path für EUR 3.750,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 2.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Hendrik Barend Koekkoek; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Woodgatherers in a hilly landscape im Oktober 2006 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 7.200,00.
