In January 2002 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work A peasant woman on a forrest path, a castle in the distance by Hendrik Barend Koekkoek. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,410.00 28% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Hendrik Barend Koekkoek have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Woodgatherers in a hilly landscape in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 7,200.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Im Januar 2002 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit A peasant woman on a forrest path, a castle in the distance von Hendrik Barend Koekkoek zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.410,00 und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hendrik Barend Koekkoek auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Woodgatherers in a hilly landscape im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 7.200,00.
