Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Peasants Near A Farm Stead; Travellers In A Summer Landscape (A Pair) by Hendrik Barend Koekkoek was auctioned at Sothebys in Amsterdam in October 2007, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 3,750.00. Other works by Hendrik Barend Koekkoek have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October 2006 by the work Woodgatherers in a hilly landscape at EUR 7,200.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Peasants Near A Farm Stead; Travellers In A Summer Landscape (A Pair) von Hendrik Barend Koekkoek im Oktober 2007 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 3.750,00 den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Hendrik Barend Koekkoek wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Oktober 2006 die Arbeit Woodgatherers in a hilly landscape mit EUR 7.200,00.
