Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2001 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work A horseman with his dog in a heath landscape by Hendrik Barend Koekkoek. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of NLG 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of NLG 4,465.00 (€ 2,067.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hendrik Barend Koekkoek - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Woodgatherers in a hilly landscape, which sold at auction in October 2006 for EUR 7,200.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2001 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit A horseman with his dog in a heath landscape von Hendrik Barend Koekkoek zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von NLG 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von NLG 4.465,00 (€ 2.067,99) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Hendrik Barend Koekkoek mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Woodgatherers in a hilly landscape beobachtet, die im Oktober 2006 für EUR 7.200,00 versteigert wurde.
