Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A peasant woman and a boy in a wooded landscape by Hendrik Barend Koekkoek was sold in the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS AT THE KUNSTFABRIEK auction at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2001. The price achieved of NLG 6,462.50 (€ 2,827.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as NLG 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hendrik Barend Koekkoek - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Woodgatherers in a hilly landscape, which sold at auction in October 2006 for EUR 7,200.00.

Die Arbeit A peasant woman and a boy in a wooded landscape von Hendrik Barend Koekkoek wurde im Januar 2001 in der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS AT THE KUNSTFABRIEK bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von NLG 6.462,50 (€ 2.827,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit NLG 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Hendrik Barend Koekkoek mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Woodgatherers in a hilly landscape beobachtet, die im Oktober 2006 für EUR 7.200,00 versteigert wurde.
