Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2002 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art including Ottomans and Orientalist, which included the work A Dutch estuary scene by Hendrik Barend Koekkoek. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,585.00 (€ 3,998.41) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Hendrik Barend Koekkoek have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2006 the work Woodgatherers in a hilly landscape was auctioned for EUR 7,200.00.

Im Juni 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art including Ottomans and Orientalist durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Dutch estuary scene von Hendrik Barend Koekkoek zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.585,00 (€ 3.998,41) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Hendrik Barend Koekkoek konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2006 die Arbeit Woodgatherers in a hilly landscape für EUR 7.200,00 versteigert.
