Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2010 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master & 19th Century Paintings, Drawings, & Watercolors, which included the work Portrait of a cavalier, bust-length by Hendrick Cornelisz. van Vliet. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,209.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendrick Cornelisz. van Vliet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Interior Of The Oude Kerk At Delft in January 2015 with an auction result of USD 317,000.00 (€ 280,779.45).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.209,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden.
