Auction result misses estimated price range
In May this year a collector was able to acquire the work An interior of the Oude Kerk, Delft, looking west by Hendrick Cornelisz. van Vliet for USD 21,420.00 (€ 20,105.12). This price was achieved in the auction Remastered: Old Masters from the Collection of J.E. Safra - Selling Without Reserve at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendrick Cornelisz. van Vliet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Interior Of The Oude Kerk At Delft in January 2015 with an auction result of USD 317,000.00 (€ 280,779.45).
