Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Hendrick Cornelisz. van Vliet could be acquired at Christies in New York in January 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master Paintings Part II auction, the work A view of the interior of St. Bavo's, Haarlem, from southeast to northeast changed hands for USD 25,000.00 (€ 19,152.69) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendrick Cornelisz. van Vliet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Interior Of The Oude Kerk At Delft in January 2015 with an auction result of USD 317,000.00 (€ 280,779.45).
