Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Oude Kerk, Delft, With A View Of The Organ Loft From The Southern Aisle by Hendrick Cornelisz. van Vliet was sold in the Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in July 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 25,710.17) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendrick Cornelisz. van Vliet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Interior Of The Oude Kerk At Delft in January 2015 with an auction result of USD 317,000.00 (€ 280,779.45).
