In January 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings: Part I, which included the work Interior Of The Oude Kerk At Delft by Hendrick Cornelisz. van Vliet. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 317,000.00 (€ 280,779.45) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Interior Of The Oude Kerk At Delft is the most expensive artwork by Hendrick Cornelisz. van Vliet that we have observed at auctions so far.
