HEINZ GAPPMAYR (1925-2010) Farben the complete artist's book comprising of ten aquatints (four in colors), on G/QM handmade paper, 1993, each signed, titled and dated in pencil on the reverse, numbered 8/60 (there was also an edition of ten in Roman numerals), published by Galerie Dorothea van der Koelen, Mainz, Germany, each the full sheet, loose (as issued), together with text pages in German by Heinz Gappmayr on laid gray paper, with the original linen portfolio box, in very good condition Overall: 12 3 ⁄ 4 x 8 7 ⁄ 8 in. x 1 1 ⁄ 2 in. Auction result misses estimated price range
In April this year a collector was able to acquire the work Farben by Heinz Gappmayr for USD 378.00 (€ 342.39). This price was achieved in the auction The Sale of the Century: An Important Corporate Collection of Prints and Multiples: Online at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Heinz Gappmayr have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June this year by the work perspektive. at EUR 660.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Farben von Heinz Gappmayr für USD 378,00 (€ 342,39) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Sale of the Century: An Important Corporate Collection of Prints and Multiples: Online bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Andere Arbeiten von Heinz Gappmayr wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Juni diesen Jahres die Arbeit perspektive. mit EUR 660,00.
