Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Hector Poleo could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in May 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Latin American Art auction, the work Untitled (Central Obrera) changed hands for USD 34,375.00 (€ 23,911.38) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 35,000.00 – 45,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hector Poleo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Maternidad in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 170,500.00 (€ 137,900.36).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hector Poleo konnte im Mai 2011 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Latin American Art wechselte die Arbeit Untitled (Central Obrera) für USD 34.375,00 (€ 23.911,38) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 35.000,00 – 45.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hector Poleo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Maternidad im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 170.500,00 (€ 137.900,36).
