The work El Leñador by Hector Poleo was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Christies in New York in May 2021. The result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 41,003.77) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hector Poleo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Maternidad, which sold at auction in May 2012 for USD 170,500.00 (€ 137,900.36).

Die Arbeit El Leñador von Hector Poleo wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 41.003,77) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Hector Poleo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Maternidad beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für USD 170.500,00 (€ 137.900,36) versteigert wurde.
