Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mujer Soñando by Hector Poleo was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2017. The price achieved of USD 68,750.00 (€ 61,187.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hector Poleo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Maternidad, which sold at auction in May 2012 for USD 170,500.00 (€ 137,900.36).

Die Arbeit Mujer Soñando von Hector Poleo kam im Mai 2017 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 61.187,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Hector Poleo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Maternidad beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für USD 170.500,00 (€ 137.900,36) versteigert wurde.
