A top price for Hector Poleo - as previously expected
In May 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Maternidad by Hector Poleo. The price achieved of USD 170,500.00 (€ 137,900.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Maternidad is the most expensive artwork by Hector Poleo that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Mai 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Maternidad von Hector Poleo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 170.500,00 (€ 137.900,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Maternidad das teuerste Kunstwerk von Hector Poleo, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
